Please join us for our Kindergarten Open House

    February 6th from 4:00 - 5:00 pm

    NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.

    CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL

    Pre-enrol in SchoolZone

Get ready for the 2024–25 school year! Sign in to your parent SchoolZone account between February 1 and March 22 to select your child’s preferred school for next year.

Whether your child is staying at the same school or changing schools, all students need to pre-enrol. Knowing how many students to expect helps schools prepare to welcome them in September.

If you have questions about registering for school, contact the school office.

For the 2023 - 2024 school year, Ormsby School is full in planned classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6 in the regular program. A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will only accept resident students in Grades 1 to 6 who have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or if you are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.

  • Volunteering

    Volunteering

    Volunteers are always welcome!

Adult volunteers are important members of our school community. Volunteers may become involved in paired reading, or working directly with individual or small groups of students, and carrying out various other tasks in support of the school.

We value the role that volunteers play at Ormsby! Our children benefit greatly from all contributions of time that you can give.

Please ask your child’s teacher or someone in the office for a volunteer registration form.

Principal's Message

Welcome to Ormsby!

We are a diverse community of learners with programming for students from Kindergarten to grade 6. We welcome students into our regular program, Strategies and Opportunities classrooms. At Ormsby we provide a safe, caring, inclusive and supportive environment where all children can learn, grow and experience success. Students are inspired to learn and are encouraged to take risks. Through intentional, high quality learning experiences, we support Ormsby students to become confident, lifelong learners and leaders.

We strive to create a welcoming environment and know that we are stronger when we work in partnership with our parent community. We believe that every child and family that walks through our doors is “ours” and we will do our best to make you feel like you belong. Ormsby staff members are inclusive and welcoming to all students using a strength based approach, while setting goals to achieve both academically and emotionally.

SchoolZone is our main form of communication and we regularly share important information, announcements, and resources. Please consider joining our very strong Ormsby Parent Society to help foster the sense of community they bring to our school.

I am proud to serve Ormsby School and am honoured to share this journey with your children and family. It is more important than ever to stay involved and engaged because a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. We cannot do it without your help!

In partnership,

Ms. Crystal Sinclair
