    REGISTRATION INFORMATION 2025- 2026

    KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

    Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 year opens on February 3, 2025. If you are registering for Kindergarten, you must register online.

    NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

    If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school. If you have questions about registering, please contact the school office. 

    For the current school year, Ormsby School is full in planned classes in the regular program with the exception of Kindergarten. We will now only accept resident students in Grades 1 to 6 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

    CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL

    You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens on February 3. 2025.

Principal's Message

Welcome to Ormsby!  At Ormsby School, we are a vibrant and diverse community of learners. Our school offers Regular Programming from Kindergarten through Grade 6, as well as Special Needs Programming through the Opportunity and Strategies Programs. 

At Ormsby, we believe in a strength based approach.  We meet children where they are, celebrating their unique gifts and recognizing that students learn in different ways and at different rates. We are committed to providing high quality and engaging learning experiences with a focus on literacy and numeracy, guided by the belief that all children can grow and succeed.

Our school is built on the foundation of strong relationships. We believe that every child’s success is rooted in the connections we make with them and their families. A collaborative approach between home and schools fosters high levels of learning, excellence in character, and a strong sense of community.  

To facilitate effective communication, we use SchoolZone. Through SchoolZone, you will receive important updates, announcements, and resources. Checking SchoolZone regularly will help you stay informed about your child’s progress and school activities.
