Parent Council

The Ormsby School Council is in operation throughout the school year. All parents are urged
to attend the meetings, which are usually held at 6:00 p.m. on the 1st Monday of each month. By becoming involved you are able to provide valuable input and gain insight into the education your child is receiving. We really value the input and support of our parent community. Involvement also helps parents gain a greater understanding of the school and the educational process. If you are interested in obtaining more information, please contact the school office or come out to one of the monthly meetings.

Ormsby Parent School Council provides support in many ways including:

• supporting field-trips and Artist in Residence
• funding cultural and arts events
• building school community such as family dances, pancake breakfast and hot lunch
• purchasing technology
• offering classroom support
• purchasing Home Reading books to support the school's focus on reading
